Types of people you should NEVER befriend.

Nobody likes a bad friend. It is better NOT to befriend them. But, how do you know whom to befriend and whom to not? Here is the answer….

  1. The “cool” ones :

  • Everyone LOVES to be friends with this person.
  • These people are the most famous and “cool” ones in the school.
  • But when YOU are in a problem, they will always be skeptical to help you.
  • They will always find ways to maintain their “image” and even if their image can be maintained by ditching you, they WILL do that too.
  • Never ever befriend them they will hurt you the most.

Ashley Tisdale from High School Musical is the best example

2. The jokers :

  • These are the people who only want attention.
  • They keep cracking jokes, entertaining people to get attention.
  • If you befriend them, sure, you will enjoy the show but when you will really need them, they will not help you for sure.
  • Their main goal in life is to be “popular”
Jester, Joker, Castle, Fairy Tale, Clowning, Kids

3. The “I don’t care” ones :

  • There are various people who get attracted to the “doesn’t give a fuck” type people.
  • It’s not wrong to get attracted to them but it is wrong to trust them.
  • They clearly don’t give a fuck about you.
  • They only care about themselves and nobody else.
  • it is also uncertain whether they themselves will accept you as a friend or not.
  • Because they DONT CARE.
  • They come and leave college/school/office on their own, eat lunch on their own, and do work on their own.
  • You can make out from one’s face whether he/she wants to talk to someone or not. But these people don’t even show those signs. Which clearly shows that they aren’t even interested in making new friends.
  • Yes, they could appear to some as “shy” but again, shy person at least shows some signs that he/she cares about someone.

4. The subtle slavery ones :

  • These are the MOST COMMON people you will ever find.
  • It’s not that they are bad people but they also cant be trusted if you wanna make long-lasting friends and end up with one of these.
  • They are good people, but only in school/college/office.
  • They befriend you to use you.
  • They are nice to you and crack jokes etc, but only to gain your confidence.
  • Then they will tell you to do THEIR work.
  • Yes, its ok to do someones work sometimes but NOT ALL THE TIME.
  • These people will start asking favors from you MOST OF THE TIME.
  • They be like “oh honey please do this for me”, “this is the last time”, but the “last time” never comes and you have become their servants now.

5. The rich and spoilt :

  • It is our natural tendency to get attracted to money.
  • Some even end up being a slave to a rich guy/girl just because he/she is rich.
  • If the person is genuinely a good person and being rich is just his economic status, then its ok.
  • But if the person is mean and he thinks that he deserves more friends only because he has a good economic status, then don’t befriend them.
  • A person who genuinely values his money will be down to earth rather than a show-off guy.
  • You will end up getting replaced.
  • Don’t befriend them.
  • They will also be mean and rude to you.
  • You don’t need to befriend someone who is just a rich and spoilt brat.

6. Those who suddenly isolate you :

  • Imagine how heartening it is, when you have befriended a really nice person but then suddenly he/she doesn’t talk to you anymore.
  • They quickly leave you without even a reason and befriend someone else.
  • It is hard to “identify” these people beforehand.
  • These people are also like the “I don’t care ones” but these people care about making friends but don’t care about maintaining the relationship.

7. Who cross the boundaries :

  • Friends are people who you like to spend time with. They help you, guide you, hug you when you’re sad, make you laugh and make you feel good as a whole.
  • But there are people who want to befriend you just because you look good.
  • Sometimes they even cross the friend boundaries and start touching you at private places.
  • When they constantly keep flirting, touching, and treating you like an object, ITS TIME TO LEAVE THEM.
  • These people have their own tricks to befriend you.
  • They will use flirty lines or will ask you out. After you say no, they might say that “but we can be friends right?” and if you agree, they are good to you at times, but then they start being a jerk again.
  • Another characteristic is that they constantly keep adjusting their hair, their looks etc which one rarely does for a “friend”.
  • Identify them as early as possible and don’t befriend them.

8. Who doesn’t help you when in need :

  • Last but not the least, the most important person to not befriend is this one.
  • What is the use of a friend who doesn’t listen to your problems and doesn’t make an effort to help you out?
  • Yes, one can’t “fully” solve your problem but at least they will make an effort to help you as much as they can.
  • Let’s say you are depressed and you tell your friend about this. If he/she does not tell you to seek help, are real douchebags.
  • They would say that “oh let’s not talk about this ever again. I feel uncomfortable” and similar stuff that would make you sadder.
  • These friends are really hard to point out beforehand. But one possible way is that see what they do when you tell them to solve a very small problem of yours. If they at least TRY to solve it, you can be sure that they are good to keep.

12 things you must know if you are enrolling in the science field in India.

Nowadays everyone wants their sons and daughters to have a career in science.

But they have NO CLUE what the science field gives them, what opportunities they have etc..

Today we are gonna see what REALLY happens in the science field and I’ll clear all the myths connected to it.

Note – this article is mostly valid for HSC(also called as “+2”)in science and not the other boards.

So here are the things you need to know before joining the science filed in India

  1. Science field is NOT Just for scholars :

  • Yes, you read it right. It is NOT for people who score well in 10th boards.
  • People who score well in board exams have a lot of memory power but, sometimes, they don’t even know the proper concept of many things.
  • For eg- They only know that the earth revolves around the sun. But when asked WHY, they cant answer it.
  • Thus, science is only for people who are conceptual learners.
  • Only LOGIC LOVERS and PRACTICAL people will survive the science filed.
  • You have to think, breathe, pray and play science to be successful in this field.

Image result for hsc science jokes

2. The subjects :

  • Science has two subfields- “medical” and “engineering” :
  1.  Medical has subjects like – Physics, Biology and Chemistry (PCB) as COMPULSORY subjects in HSC.
  2. Engineering has subjects like – Physics, Chemistry and Maths (PCM) as COMPULSORY subjects in HSC.
  • For cracking physics and maths – You need to have knowledge of applying logic and formulas.
  • For cracking chemistry and bio – You need to have knowledge of learning and remembering things easily. (which all people who have given 10th board and have scored 90% and above, WILL know)

3. “Out of syllabus” no more valid :

  • Okay, in school, you only needed to know what’s written in the textbooks right? BUT, you don’t need to do that in science.
  • In +2 science, you should know about OTHER things which are OUT OF YOUR SYLLABUS too.
  • And the reason is that – the 12th board exams and also the engineering/medical exams in the future, ask various OUT OF SYLLABUS question RELATED TO THE SUBJECT.
  • So be prepared for that.

4. Curiosity wins :

  • Asking questions is a MUST in science.
  • If you get stuck with ONE topic, other topics will be affected too.
  • For eg, you need to know something called “centripetal force” (along with its proof), to understand why satellites rotate around the earth.
  • This is why you need to ask doubts and you need to get them cleared ASAP!!
  • If you don’t have the guts to question, DONT COME TO SCIENCE.

Image result for curiosity

5. College life :

  • You have no college life.
  • No time for girlfriends and boyfriends.
  • No time for hanging out with friends.
  • No time for fun.
  • Even if one says that they have seen science people having fun, let me tell you that those science students are the average ones. They are surely not getting good marks. They are just passing the exams.
  • If you REALLY want to make your parents proud and are serious about being a doctor or engineer, you can’t afford to lose marks. And if you don’t wanna lose marks, study more and hang out less.

6. Tutions/coaching classes :

  • You HAVE TO get a coaching class.
  • You CANNOT do science on you’re own.
  • The college teachers only teach you the stuff that is required to pass your HSC BOARD EXAMS.
  • Coaching classes will teach you board exam syllabus+extra tips+enterance exam syllabus.
  • If you want to become an engineer, you have to compulsorily give entrance exams called JEE or CET(Maharashtra)
  • The eligibility to enter the exam is that you have to pass the HSC board exam first.
  • But you can become an engineer only if you study for JEE or CET and give those exams.
  • So basically, you have to study for both boards+enterance exams.
  • And thus, you need coaching classes.
  • Also remember that sometimes, good HSC board marks also have a good impact on the CV for jobs.

Image result for teacher

7. Attendance :

  • Here you can breathe.
  • Attendance is 70% required in college
  • But in science, in one week (mon-sat), there are 3 practical days and 3 lecture days.
  • Even if you attend only the practicals, your attendance will be up to 70%.
  • So you don’t have to go to college daily. Go only for practicals if you’re college allows that (which most colleges do)
  • If your college is too strict about attendance, please reconsider choosing that college.
  • You really can’t do both classes and college. Baccha mar jaiga stresss se (the child will die out of stress)
  • So, attend only practicals in college but attend the tuition daily without fail.

8. Practicals :

  • Practicals are compulsory for physics, bio, chemistry and maths.
  • They are conducted every week.
  • They are easy to do.
  • Only physics practicals are very hard for an average science student. Especially the one who doesn’t want a career in physics.
  • Practical exams are conducted too.
  • External examiner comes for taking the practical exams.
  • You have to compulsorily maintain a journal where you have all your practical notes written in a neat and clean way.
  • Practical hack – ALWAYS pay attention to the guide given by the teacher before the practice starts. Make notes and ask questions.
  • Take practicals seriously.
  • Practicals are fun and easy to do (except for physics ones)
  • Don’t miss practicals. You will get fewer marks in practical EXAM.
  • Marks scored in practical exams get counted for the final board mark sheet

9.  Study time required to get good marks :

  • Physics – if the concept is clear, you require 20 mins daily revision for concepts and 4-5 sums daily.
  • Chemistry- Wholehearted mugging up of chemical names, formulas, reactions are 100% required. Will take 40 mins daily. Even if you know the formulas, you have to practice their problems.
  • Maths – Daily formula revision and 4-5 different type of sums to be practised daily. Will take minimum 1 hour.
  • Bio- Min 30 mins daily revision of concepts.
  • Total time for any three of these – engineering (PCM)- 2 hours and medical (PCB) – 1/30 mins or more.
  • Note – this was just self-study.
  • You have to spend least  3 hours in classes daily otherwise too.
  • So classes+self study makes it 5-6 hours of daily study.

blur, close-up, focus

10. After Hsc :

  • You can either go for engineering or medical.
  • You can also go for Bsc, Msc and become a professor.
  • You can also go to pharmacy field.
  • Various other small fields are also there but they aren’t that good enough to pay you as much as you have spent on your studies.

11. All about the fees :

  • Govt college – less than 12,000 Rupees for 1 year.
  • Private college – 1 lakh per year.
  • Coaching classes – 1 lakh per year.
  • Travelling, food, time pass, buying stationary (journals, textbooks etc), lab coats, lab gloves, etc (for Mumbai) – ten to 12 thousand per year.

12. There is a way out :

  • If you are not being able to handle science, there is also a way to get out of it.
  • You can join arts or commerce field after completing HSC.
  • Fun fact – arts and commerce students can’t join science field after HSC.
  • So, if you think your passion is not science, and that you can excel in something else, you can surely shift to arts and commerce easily. While filling the forms for arts/commerce college, they do ask you that from which field have you done HSC.
  • Another fun fact – People who have been to +2 in science field have more knowledge about logic and rational thinking than other fields. Which if used properly in the other fields, can yield REALLY GOOD results.

6 less chaotic places in India where you can just RELAX.

India is known for being chaotic and in some places, it IS chaotic. But it also has a solution to its chaos – Places with so much nature and calmness that you will forget that you are in the 2nd most populated country in the world!

So here are some of the quietest and calmest places in India where you can EASILY practise yoga, meditation, or just RELAX and chill.

Note – The list is not a hierarchy.

1.Maharashtra :

Shocked? Don’t worry, We aren’t talking about the cities. We are talking about the natural beauty and silence. Maharashtra might be infamous for having one of the noisiest places called Mumbai, It does have some insanely silent places at the same time. Apart from having huge forts, it does have some insanely nature-friendly places which give relief from the chaos in Mumbai.

Many people think of Goa as a party place. But Goa is more than that. With its beautiful beaches and amazing relaxing options, you can get a party+peace atmoshpere only in Goa. Various non-toursity beaches like agonda beach are less party friendly and more peace friendly beaches. Goa steals your heart 😉

The most popular spot in Goa for one day picnics, this beach is also one of the favourites amongst the locals. Although a bit of rocky, it is counted as one amongst the least crowded beaches in Goa. Sandwiched between the Mandrem and Morjim beach, Ashwem has several beach-side resorts that offer seaside shacks to relax and rejuvenate.

A nesting habitat for the olive ridley turtle, Morjim beach possesses a unique ecosystem that favours the growth and hatching of this species of turtles.

Pristine and alluring, Agonda Beach is the place where someone can simply relax in the company of sun, sand and sea.

The Ultimate Social media management method…

You may have heard about Time Management for studies, for work for other jobs, etc. But today, we are gonna see the time management for SOCIAL MEDIA.

According to a study, People spend 12 years on social media in a lifetime. Imagine if we have had used this time for something else. Our life would have been awesome!

Please note, it is VERY IMPORTANT to first know what EXACTLY does “social media” mean. This will help you understand the steps better.

Social media are websites and applications that enable users to create and share content or to participate in social networking.

eg – Tumblr, Twitter, Viber, VK, WeChat, Weibo, WhatsApp, Wikia, Snapchat, Youtube etc.

Now let’s see how we can manage our social media time.

1.Count how much time do YOU have in a day :

  • A day has 24 hrs.
  • Minus 24 hours with the TOAL hours you require for sleep.
  • The remains are the time when you are active or awake.
  • This time is the time we need.

Food time hasn’t been counted here because some watch videos and eat food while some just eat food (what up social media reference!!).

So it depends on you whether you want to minus the food time along with the sleep time or not.

2. List your social media :

  • List down HOW MANY social media accounts do you use every day.
  • Most people have Snapchat, Facebook and Instagram as daily accounts.

3. List down WHAT YOU DO in that social media :

  • You may see stories on Instagram, chat on WhatsApp, binge watch on youtube, etc
  • So this is what you have to list down here
  • So after the 2nd step, write down what EXACTLY do you do on that particular social media platform.

4. Make groups :

  • Insta, Facebook, Youtube could be some apps which consume ALOT of time.
  • Whatsapp, Google, WordPress etc might not consume that much time.
  • So you need to group each of your apps into two categories – “More time” and “Less time”
  • The reason why I didn’t say “oh put a timer and count how much you spend blah blah blah” is because I know that every day is different for every social media. Today all my followed pages must be posting some good stuff but tomorrow they may not! So counting time makes no sense.

5. List your job :

  • You may be a housewife, a student, a teacher or whatever.
  • You note down what you do and what does your job demands from you.

6. Ask yourself :

  • We listed the active time in point 1.
  • Go there now.
  • Ask yourself, do you do what you’re supposed to do, in MOST of the time you have in your hand?
  • If yes, then you are a quite controllable person. If no, and you see that time for SOCIAL MEDIA ,then I fear you are a social media addict.
  • Once you figure out whether you are an addict or not, problem-solving gets easier.

7. EXTRA activities :

  • Now list down what EXTRA you do other than social media as a time-pass.
  • Do you go outside, or play or what else do you do?
  • Note it down and here you need to check how much average time you spend in doing it.
  • eg- “I play for 2 hours daily”

8. Free time :

  • Everyone has a free time.
  • This free time means the time when you jump to your bed and say “aah! work is done!”.
  • This could be the time you get in between lectures or a break.
  • It could be any time.
  • Now list down how much free time you get.
  • Here you need to make a category – “more free time” and “less free time”

9. Utilize :

  • I think you realized where we have reached now 😉
  • Good that you’re smart. If you didn’t get it, no problem! Just keep reading!
  • Ok, now that you have 4 categories –
  1. More time
  2. Less time
  3. More free time
  4. Less free time

all we need to do is join them.

  • Yes, you are right. Use the apps consuming more time, from the more free time part of the day and use the fewer time apps in the less free time part of the day.
  • See, it was so simple!

10. Utilise smartly :

  • If you found that you are an addict, you need to cut down on the more free time you get.
  • Since you’re not doing what you’re supposed to do, I assume the time in the “more free time” section of yours, must be HUGE. Like, say 5-6 hours.
  • The more free time for a non-addict is usually 3-4 or maybe 2-3 hours.
  • So, reduce your free time and do something else in that time.
  • It’s not a fast process to get out of addiction.
  • It takes time.

Remaining free time – 4 hours

More free time – 4 hours
Less free time – Time between my lectures.

Final time management :
Apps for 4 hours -Facebook, Insta, Youtube.
Apps for short time – Gmail, WhatsApp, Twitter

Tips :

  1. If you are running a bussiness on social media, I suggest having volunteers to help.
  2. For eg – You choose whatever you want to share or sell, and then give that infor to your volunterr and tell him to manage the uploads, comments, deliveries, checking inquiries etc.
  3. This will help your work get done, plus social media being managed.
  4. Voulnteer can be anyone – Your grandma, your child, your cousin, or friend or some colleges student.
  5. If you are say an instagrammer, you have alot of followers, then what you need to do, is upload the picture, and turn on the notifications. (keep notification on vibrate mode) and just check the notifications on the top of your mobile screen instead of going to the page itself.
  6. Another option is turning on the gmail notification of instagram. It helps keep notifications in a different app and gamil also comes under the “less time” category.

How to tell whether a WhatsApp forward is fake or not (6 tricks)…

Whatsapp is a widely used tool for messaging. It has its markets in India, South Africa, Brazil and other countries.

India accounts for the largest WhatsApp users.

While WhatsApp is very useful for promoting your businesses, spam and misleading news can be spread within minutes.

But with these techniques, you can identify a fake Whatapp forward.

  1. Use Truecaller :

  • Truecaller is an app which tells you the name of the cell phone user from his number.
  • Sometimes in WhatsApp, there are messages such as “Call this person if you see a stray animal”, “Call him to send money” etc.
  • Then a phone number is also displayed.
  • Copy that number and paste it into Truecaller and see the name.
  • If the person HIMSELF has sent the message and is truly genuine, he will ALWAYS mention his name and occupation/what he does, on Truecaller.
  • A fake person will rarely do this.
  • Like if I truly am an animal rescuer, I will mention that on my Truecaller profile because I know that I have forwarded a message related to it and anyone can contact me anytime because of that message.
  • Once you see the name, you can use Facebook to search it and see the Facebook profile to be double sure whether he’s a spammer or a person in real need.

So, basically what to do in this step?

  1. Search his profile on Truecaller and see the name.
  2. Search the name on facebook
  3. See the occupation if mentioned.
  4. If the occupation is not mentioned, see at least his pictures or friend list to get an idea whether hes a needy or a scammer.

Facebook – https://www.facebook.com/

Truecaller – https://www.truecaller.com/

2. Check the news channels:

  • Only news channels show the real news and nobody else does.
  • If there was an eclipse coming tomorrow, the news tells it today itself.
  • So you don’t need to rely on WhatsApp for news about the environment.
  • Secondly, if there is news on politics, IGNORE it.
  • NEVER EVER take a political WhatsApp message seriously. It’s all dirty politics to make the youth do wrong things.
  • Lastly, if the news is related to someone being kidnapped/is lost etc, then its probably fake too.
  • Think logically –  If your child is lost, would you complain to the police or tell WhatsApp? Will WhatsApp friends and random people help you find your kid? What if someone uses your contact number, tells you he has found your kid, and then kidnaps you if you go to him?
  • So let’s be real – People will mostly complain to a police officer and rely on them only. Moreover, they may also approach the news channels. But using WhatsApp to tell that their child is lost, is bad parenting as well as a possible scam.

Basically, think logically and rely only on news channels for news.

We know that sometimes news channel themselves can spread fake news too.

So, we suggest watching only TRUSTED CHANNELS like DD news, Zee news etc.

3. Check with the doctor :

  • A random person sends you a message telling about Aryuveda and you believe him?
  • Rather save the message and ask the real aryuvedic doctor.
  • Same with any kind of medical messages.
  • “Better be sure than be sorry”.

Thus, before using random fake medical knowledge, ask your doctor whether the information being forwarded to you is really true or not.

4. UNESCO tells its announcements on its website.

  • UNESCO has its own website and it posts everything on it.
  • So better check it before believing anything related to it.
  • Same goes for anything related to the United Nations.

United Nations website – www.un.org/en/

UNESCO – https://en.unesco.org

5. Website, website, website :

  • Yes, again, ANY big organization will ALWAYS announce its notices on its WEBSITE.
  • So next time when you get a message saying anything about the govt policies, CHECK THEIR WEBSITE or just check the news channels.
  • Whatsapp itself will tell its updates on its website too. So no need to believe in random messages of “New Whatsapp feature” and similar news being forwarded to you.

6. Social media :

  • Every police establishment in this world uses a verified social media account and use it to tell any announcements.
  • For eg, the Mumbai police tell its announcements on its Twitter account and are active on twitter all day.
  • So you should not rely on messages about police, security or any threat. Just check their twitter/other social media or just ask them directly by a call or on the internet.

Recap :

Note :

  1. We don’t claim all these tricks to be 100% true.
  2. People are still there to run their masterminds and can still fool you.
  3. Now that India has internet users in huge numbers, we should know the dos and donts of the internet.
  4. The basic “DONT” is that don’t believe in rumours.
  5. With the above tricks, you can find a flaw in forwarded message easily.
  6. Yes it may take some effort but as we said, “Better be sure than sorry”

How to EASILY get topics for your blog …

Sometimes we have no Idea what to write about. Even after roaming a thousand gardens and sitting in the toilet for a subject, we cant come up with one. Blogging sure works on “write when it comes to your mind” but sometimes you need to be a little disciplined and need to post consistently for moving forward. And what if you don’t have a subject for like..months? You cant sit there with hands folded and do nothing about it.

That’s when you need this post.

So here are simple methods to choose a subject for your blog…

  1. Quora :

  • Surprised? How can quora give me a subject? Well, Quora has some questions which are unanswered.
  • The unanswered or less answered questions can be answered BY YOU through your BLOG.
  • You can write about it on your blog!
  • You can also link your quora answer to your blog. Views confirmed!
  • However, keep in mind that quora have some idiots answering idiotic questions too. So you need to fetch the fish very hard and find something “good” to write about.

Excerpt of a Quora page (Pic for representation purposes only)

2. WikiHow :

  • Just like Quora, wikihow has some questions which are not answered yet.
  • You can use that question as a subject for your blog.
  • Wikihow –> “HELP US” section of the menu on the far right –> “ANSWER A REQUEST” from drop-down list —> Choose the topic you know about, fetch the right question and you have a topic for your next blog post!

WikiHow link: https://www.wikihow.com/Main-Page

3. WordPress :

  • WordPress is a huge blogging website.
  • It also has a lot of blogging communities.
  • Each day, various huge pages allow sharing of topics, choosing topics, discussing topics etc.
  • Join one of them to get a topic.
  • OR, you can also view the DAILY POST, which is a WordPress blog dedicated to enhancing blogging experience and welcoming and engaging new bloggers to write good stuff. It daily posts a “one-word prompt” in which it gives you a word and you have to write an article based on that word. You can use this for getting an idea about your next article.

Excerpt of The DAILY POST (Pic for representation purposes only)

So, create a WordPress website now and strike out the worry related to “what to write about”

Note – Read the fourth point below, for the “word technique” and you can use the same for this WordPress one-word prompt method.

4. Random words :

  • Go to google, type “Random word generator ” or simply click this link.
  • You will come across many random words.
  • You can make an article based on these random words.

Word technique example :

  1. Pick a word you know about.
  2. Think about “what, where, why, how”
  3. Join it with the word and some general context.
  4. Boom! You have a topic.

Eg-  Word – “neat”

Topics –

  • HOW to keep your room neat and tidy.
  • WHY are our mothers obsessed with neatness.
  • WHAT exactly does “neatness of body and soul” mean.

5. Questions from a kid :

  • This may seem “childish” (I know I’m good at puns!) but its the best option when the internet is down.
  • Go to your nearest child and ask him what he wants to know about.
  • Some cliche questions are already answered in various blogs like “Why are stars so far”, “Why does the moon follow me?” etc.
  • But I’m sure there must be some smart kid out there who would ask a genuine question.
  • If you hate talking to kids, ask your mom what questions YOU asked as a child or ask the mother of whichever kid you know, about what he must have asked.

6. “Crook” It.

  • Let’s say I know about gardening.
  • But I have already written a lot about gardening.
  • But now I have nothing left to write about.
  • For such situations, the crook method comes.

CROOK method :

  • Take an already done topic (by you or others)
  • CROOK IT into such a topic that you could write on it as well as it would seem new.

  • “10 gardening tools you need to have” is one topic you already have written on.
  • The crook method tells that the top tool name you had mentioned, can be picked and crooked into “Full unbiased review of  the ____ (mention company name) __ (tool name)”
  • You can also interlink both of them.
  • You can improvise it by saying “I had mentioned in my earlier post that this tool is a MUST NEED. But there are various companies which sell this tool and thus, today I am reviewing ___ (tool name) of ____ (company). It’s an unbiased and unsponsored review…”

Basically, recycling one of the last posts into a new one is the idea.

6 Project hacks that will ensure good marks.

School projects are a headache. Not just for school, nowadays, there are projects for colleges and offices too. But with these hacks, you can ensure a good impression on your teacher/boss by your project.

Hacks useful for : Handwritten as well as computer projects.

1.Write the project with a good handwriting :

  • A good handwriting makes a good impression
  • It tells that the person has taken a good effort in making the project.
  • Cursive handwriting works the best.
  • If you don’t have good handwriting, try to at least make your project readable.
  • The letters should not be too big or too small.
  • Avoid spelling mistakes and sentence formation errors.
  • IIf you are typing on a computer, make sure you choose a good font.

2. Use a good pen :

  • Make sure the pen ink does not leak.
  • The pen used throughout the project must be of the same color.
  • It helps to create an impression that you have concentrated on the content.
  • More colored pens irritate the eyes and the decoration becomes very in-your-face.
  • I suggest using BLACK or BLUE pen.

3. Highlight important words :

  • Highlighting important words shows that you have read and understood your project properly.
  • It helps to put a spotlight on the important words and sentences in your topic.
  • Notice how I have highlighted the main points in black bold.
  • It brought your attention to the word, didn’t it?
  • You have to do the same.
  • You can also UNDERLINE important sentences.

4. Make sure your project is in a structured manner :

  • Honestly, not all of us are able to read even one Wikipedia article from top to bottom.
  • Because ITS BORING.
  • And it takes ALOT of effort to read it.
  • Thus, we might read an article which is well structured and easy to read rather than something written like a novel with hard words.
  • Similarly, if your project is well structured, your teacher will enjoy reading it.

5.Make sure the content is also good :

  • You may do numerous decorative and impressive methods to keep your reader engaged, but if the content is not good, it makes no sense.
  • Thus, make sure that what your writing, is correct and which suits the topic given.

6. Make use of graphs and charts :

  • If your project contains more numerical and statistical information, you can use graphs and charts to explain it.
  • It will help the reader to understand the project better.

What did we learn?

  • Good handwriting.
  • Good content.
  • Structured content.
  • Graphs and charts.
  • Highlights.
  • Presentation.

Here’s an except for better understanding :

Holi is a Hindu spring festival celebrated in the Indian subcontinent, also known as the “festival of colors” or the “festival of love”.The festival signifies the victory of good over evil, the arrival of spring, end of winter, and for many a festive day to meet others, play and laugh, forget and forgive, and repair broken relationships. It is also celebrated as a thanksgiving for a good harvest. It lasts for a night and a day, starting on the evening of the Purnima (Full Moon day) falling in the Vikram Samvat Hindu Calendar month of Phalguna, which falls somewhere between the end of February and the middle of March in the Gregorian calendar. The first evening is known as Holika Dahan or Chhoti Holi and the following day as Holi, Rangwali Holi, Dhuleti, Dhulandi, or Phagwah.

Story of every Kid

Kids are the flowers of the garden. The flower which keeps growing according to the care taken…

These flowers are being told that they are disturbing the etiquette of the garden.

But has anyone listened to the opinion of the flower for once?

So here we present to you, our view of life.

  1. We have swallowed your anger.
  • Dad’s boss got angry on him.
  • He removed the anger on Mom.
  • Mom removed the anger on us.
  • We still smiled the next day.

Growing up, we learned one thing – Solve your problems with anger.

2. We have seen you go mad.

  • Both of you had a fight.
  • We saw with teary eyes.
  • We were sent back to our room.
  • That day, we cried a lot.

Growing up, we learned one thing – Solve the problems with your partner by fighting.

3. We learned to discriminate.

  • We played with our neighbors happily.
  • One fine day, you told us that our neighbors were black and that blacks are bad people.

Growing up, we saw every black person as a bad fellow.

4. We never got an education.

  • You sent us to the best school in the neighborhood.
  • We learned a lot of things.
  • But no one taught lessons on self-confidence, making friends and how to be a good person in the changing society.

Growing up, we dealt with depression.

5. We were touched.

  • Uncle touched our privates and sexually abused us.
  • We told that to our parents.
  • The parents told the police.
  • The police arrested uncle.
  • But some mere sum of money washed his sins.

Growing up, we learned that you can get away with any crime by paying for it.

6. We learned that what we like, does not matter.

  • We told them our marks.
  • They hit us for failing in maths and did not pay attention to the  A+ grade in painting.

Growing up, we threw our paint brushes and sketches away and never saw them again.

7. We fell in love.

  • She fell in love with a guy.
  • A guy who never laughed at her because she was fat.
  • A guy who hugged her.
  • A guy who showed his love for her.
  • She told mom about him.
  • But thanks to mom, She realized that he was a bad guy. Because her mom told her, that he’s not from her religion.

Growing up, she labelled people as Hindu,Muslim,Christan,Jew, rather than human.

8. We learned to keep our mouths shut

  • We saw a beggar being badly injured.
  • We brought him to the hospital.
  • No one was ready to give him a bed because he had no money.
  • He died a few hours later.

Growing up, we learned that you are not human if you are poor.

We were wrong.

  • We thought our parents are like our friends.
  • We thought our close relatives also care for us
  • We thought that being a man or woman does not make any difference.
  • We thought hitting was bad.
  • We thought that our black friends were as equal as us.
  • We thought we had talents.
  • We thought we should help others in need.

We were so wrong.

Dear parents and elders,

Kids follow every word of yours and see you as role models.

If you want your society to change, change the way you nurture kids.

It’s all in your hands whether you want to see people caring for each other, or people shooting each other…….

Show us your good side and we will surely give you the best human society ever.

Easy methods to improve grammar without reading books :

For a person whose first language is not English, grammar mistakes are common.

But today, thanks to technology advancement, we have the hacks to improve grammar without wasting our time in buying novels and grammar books to improve grammar.

1.Watch English movies :

  • English movies don’t have any use of big words.
  • They communicate with simple sentences.
  • Watching movies will help you know a lot about pronunciations.

Tip : –

  • English movies have accent difference
  • Different accents have different pronunciations.
  • Thus, I recommend watching British movies for the correct pronunciation since it’s the place where English originated.
  • It depends on you what accent you like so you can also watch American movies.

Pen and Paper method :

  • Take a book, pen/pencil.
  • Write down all hard words or words which you don’t know the meaning of
  • Then find the meanings of those words and revise them daily.
  • Use them in your daily conversations.
  • The next day, watch another movie and keep on doing the same method.
  • Keep recognizing the words which you have written earlier when the next movie plays.
  • Remember that your goal is to learn English. So concentrate on English and not the movie.
  • Slowly and steadily, you will be able to communicate.

2. Install grammar apps :

  • If you know English but lack some skills in proper sentence formation, spellings etc, and you have to WRITE some stuff in English, mostly on a computer or mobile, you can download some apps which help you do so.
  • Grammarly is a good app. It highlights mistakes and recommends corrections. It’s free too!

App link for pc:- https://app.grammarly.com/

Apps for mobile:-

  • ginger keyboard

  • Flesky

  • Grammarly

link – https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.grammarly.android.keyboard&hl=en

3. E-books:

  • Ebooks are handy and affordable.
  • You can locate words, screenshot the screen, use audio to hear the book, use zoom features and you can copy-paste something you like.
  • It makes it better and easier to use than a normal book.
  • You can also read summaries instead of the entire book which will save your time.
  • Top novels, easy to read grammar books etc are all available as ebooks.

links to ebooks:-

You can also buy the amazon kindle tablet which is specially made for reading ebooks.

Buy it here:- https://www.amazon.in/Kindle-eBooks/b?ie=UTF8&node=1634753031

4. English songs.

  • If you wanna test your English skills, I recommend listening to English songs.
  • Listening to a 3-minute song is also better than watching a 2 hr long movie.

Easy method:-

  • Start YouTube.
  • Type a song.
  • suffix it with “lyrics”
  • Open the lyrical video.
  • Follow the pen and paper method from point no 1.

Note :

  • Again the accent problem will still prevail.
  • You have to choose only one accent to follow for learning English.
  • If you keep mixing accents, it will be difficult for you to learn English.
  • So, stick to one accent only and listen to songs of that accent.

5. Kid story books:-

  • Story booksare not very complicated to understand.
  • They have simple sentences.
  • They can help develop basic English if not fluent English.

Again follow the pen and paper method for this trick too.

You can also buy story books from Amazon if you don’t have them at home.

Link:- https://www.amazon.in/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_2?url=search-alias%3Ddigital-text&field-keywords=kids+story+books+&rh=n%3A1571277031%2Ck%3Akids+story+books+

Note :

  1. To use the above methods, you need to have at least some basic knowledge of alphabets and word formations.
  2. We don’t claim all of them to be 100% correct. But they are a worth try.
  3. To master English, you need to SPEAK English too. Try speaking it more often than before.
